Hello World! Attachments are a key design feature that we use to complete as many missions as possible. There are certain types of attachments that can be only used on certain missions. This is why we have designed attachments that have multiple uses so we can avoid as many modifications as possible to the base of the robot.
Attachments that we have designed are easy to take off and fix and effectively complete their assigned mission. The original base we have was a remodification of Droid Bot E and because of its versatility, it has been used in our previous FLL competitions.
NOTE: The attachments and their positions have to be very precise as the coding that is used within the brain is very delicate and cannot be messed up, even if it was a centimeter too far or short.
Why do I need these attachments?
Attachments can give room to imagination and unique ideas that can’t possibly be thought of by us alone. We would like to see how your picture of an attachment would become in the competition and the uses of it, hopefully more intriguing and cooler.
Therefore, for rookie teams, the idea of ‘attachment’ can be used to create various designs that we probably couldn’t think of so the amount of designs that can be imagined, coupled with all of the base robot designs provided can help your team have a strategy to become better.
